Lompoc Woman Names Her Alleged Killer Before Dying

A Lompoc woman was able to name the man who she claimed shot her before she died from her injuries Monday night.

Clay Murray, 64, was arrested after police were called to the 300 block of North Daisy Street.

Police have not named the victim until her relatives are notified. She was still conscious and named Murray as the man who shot her before she was taken to the hospital.

Doctors at Lompoc District Hospital were not able to save her and she died from her injuries.

Police found the woman in the backyard of a home. She had been shot in the abdomen.

Murray was arrested on murder charges and is being held at the Santa Barbara County jail.

The police investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
