Water Solutions Sought at Two Santa Barbara County Public Meetings

Long term water solutions will be sought at two Santa Barbara County hearings next week.

Santa Barbara County Supervisor Salud Carbajal says the public can help with suggestions, not to deal with the current drought, but mainly water issues for the years ahead.

“Once this drought comes and goes and hopefully sooner than later, we need to start planning to insure we do better in the future so that we have
water sustainability for our community in future years to come and that study will give us some insights as to what those options are,” said Carbajal.

The meetings will be Monday in the County Government Center in Santa Maria at 6 p.m. and Tuesday in the County Planning Commission Room in Santa Barbara at 6 p.m.
