Police Seeking Suspect in Ventura Shooting

Investigators in Ventura are looking for the person responsible for shooting and injuring a 28-year-old Santa Paula resident.

Police were called out early Friday morning to the 1200 block of Prairie Dog Place in Ventura.

When they arrived at the scene, officers found evidence that a shooting occurred, but could not locate any suspects or victims.

A short time later, Jacob Escobedo, 28, arrived at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. He is currently being treated for a gunshot wound and is expected to survive.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information should call the Ventura Police Department.
