Multi-Media Journalist Santa Maria Newsroom
KEYT 3, KCOY 12 AND KKFX 11 are seeking a multi-media journalist to join our team. This position is based in our Santa Maria newsroom. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate how he or she can shoot, write, edit, and present compelling content for on-air and on-line channels.
Our newsroom has high standards and expectations for journalism and daily enterprise news coverage. We’re seeking someone who strives to be the lead every day, and pushes to break stories before the competition. We’re looking for someone who approaches each story or newscast with the passion needed for exceptional storytelling, for making sure the viewer gets the best possible information, and of course to put the best product on air or online. You will work with brand new state-of-the-art HD newsgathering equipment and the latest generation of 4G wireless live technology. The coverage area is large and the competition is significant. Expect to work non-traditional hours and days. This is not a position for the weak at heart!
A minimum of one year on-air experience after college graduation in a commercial television newsroom is required.
