Frontier Airlines Ending Santa Barbara Service
Air service to Denver will become more limited when Frontier Airlines suspends service from the Santa Barbara airport in January, 2015.
Managers at the airport confirm the airline will end service in the new year, but there is still a possibility of seasonal service returning for the summer months.
Frontier is also cutting service to Denver from other California cities including Bakersfield and Fresno.
Frontier’s departure leaves United Airlines with the only nonstop service from Santa Barbara to Denver, a popular hub for connections to Midwest and East Coast cities. United currently operates two flights on regional jets each day from Santa Barbara to Denver.
