Forever Neverland Ticket Buyers Request Money Back
A weekend event at Avila Beach Golf Resort has left some people on the Central Coast frustrated and wanting their money back.
“They were posting every single thing up until the day of the event and then within the last few ours of the event they made a post saying they wouldn’t have anything,” said Isabelle Frederiksen.
Frederiksen says the organizer of Forever Never Land on the last day of the event alerted those who purchased tickets that entertainment promised was canceled because of “unforeseen circumstances.”
Staci Schultz and her friends spent over $300 to attend the music festival.
Shultz says the event “did not have the activities it said they would” and told KCOY 12’s Cory James the only activity there was beach volleyball and a foam pit that wasn’t fully functional.
The organizer, Valerie Wang, released a statement on Facebook apologizing for not delivering what was advertised.
Wang says that “[she] had not intentionally pulled any performance or activity without absolutely having to based on last minute financial binds.”
Frederiksen and Schultz say they simply just want their money back.
The event was a private concert and not sponsored by the city. It also had no affiliation with Avila Beach Golf Resort.
