Police Brutality Case Settled Out Of Court

A high profile police brutality case has been settled out of court.

The excessive force case stems from an October 2011 DUI arrest in Loreto Plaza in Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Police Patrol car video showed the officer-involved, Aaron Tuder subduing Tony Denunzio.

The 53-year-old was tazed more than a dozen time and left with broken ribs and a broken nose.

He was never convicted of DUI.

Denunzio’s attorney Darryl Genis said the city agreed to pay his client $120,000 to settle a civil lawsuit.
