Legislative Summit Held At Bacara Resort

The Goleta Chamber of Commerce hosted its 4th annual Legislative Summit Thursday afternoon at the Bacara Resort and Spa.

City, County and State leaders were question about everything from the drought to wages.

California’s minimum wage rose from $8 to $9 this year. It will rise to $10 next year.

Some business leaders said they want the state to adopt a tip credit that would allow restaurants to take a tip credit against the worker’s wages.

A reception afterwards allowed guests to keep the conversation going.
