Oxnard Shooting Victim Identified

Oxnard Police are searching for a suspect in a deadly shooting that killed 21-year-old Martin Miranda of Oxnard.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Cloyne Street next to Hathaway Elementary School in the Hueneme School District.

The school kept the children indoors while officer searched for the killer and evidence.

Miranda was pronounced dead at Ventura County Medical Center Monday morning.

Neighbors said they think the murder was gang related.

This is Oxnard 6th homicide of the year.

The city is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
