Hurricane Norbert Could Bring More Waves And Rain to Southern California

Hurricane Norbert Could Bring More Waves And Rain to Southern California.

Another hurricane is churning in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California and might bring a few changes to our weather this weekend.

Just last week surfers enjoyed large waves at beaches in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties thanks to Hurricane Marie.

Hurricane Norbert is expected to push large swells again toward the Ventura County coast, however National Weather Service forecasters say it won’t be as severe as Marie and it could bring us some rain.

National Weather Service meteorologist Eric Boldt said, “The remnants of Hurricane Norbert are probably going to give us more surf conditions for south facing beaches. We’ll see some higher surf, but nothing like what we saw from Hurricane Marie. Hurricane Norbert is a much weaker storm.”
