Carpinteria Turning Green with Avocado Festival Just a Month Away

The California Avocado Festival is expected to draw 100,000 people to streets of Carpinteria next month, and already the organizers say it will be one of the biggest events they have held.

The three day event begins October 3rd.

Last night, this year’s poster was unveiled and symbolizes the festival’s love for music.

This year there will be 70 bands on four stages and include solo singers, youth bands, and classic rock and roll.

There will be about ten blocks of food booths, art and activities in downtown, and just steps from the World’s Safest Beach, as it is known in Carpinteria.

The Avocado Festival will also have a brand new batch of avocado ice cream, refreshing avocado flavored beer, and the largest vat of guacamole in the world.

Admission is free.
