Rip Taylor had kind words to say about Joan Rivers before taking the stage at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara Tuesday night. Rivers was placed on life support following a heart attack.

Taylor gets away with things too. The comedian was quick to show off his famous toupee before offering it as a parting gift. He wore a large diamond-covered pinky ring. When asked about it, he said you’ll find out in the documentary.

A new star-studded documentary tells the story of his life as an actor and a comedian and more. It is called, “Rip Rip Hurray,” The audience at the Arlington watched the film before Taylor took the stage.

Taylor, 79, has a star on the walk of fame for acting. He said he was a page in U.S. Senate as a young man and found comedy in the news.
