Workers Labor The Day Away

While some people hit the beach or attended a picnic, plenty of workers labored the holiday away.

Workers at Cottage Hospital said they were thinking about soldiers and first responders who had to work too.

Retail sales workers also had a busy day. Shoppers enjoyed deep Labor Day discounts on everything from back-to-school clothing to cars.

And restaurants workers seemed busy too.

Some holiday workers said they didn’t mind making overtime, others said tips were better than usual due to the holiday.
