Teachers Attend Holiday Picnic

Members of the California Teachers Association enjoyed Labor Day picnics throughout the state.

Teachers at a picnic in Santa Barbara’s Oak Park rubbed shoulders with candidates and politicians.

They also learned about bond measure “S.” The measure will require nearby property owners to pay more for Santa Barbara City College improvements.

CTA President Dean Vogel served as keynote speaker.

Vogel said union and nonunion workers must word together to create thriving communities.
