Cayucos Man Arrested For Child Abuse

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 38-year-old Cayucos man for alleged child abuse and rape.

Oscar Higueros, Jr. was arrested last Thursday at his home following a three day investigation.

Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Cipolla revealed the office took a report of child abuse on September 25th. The victim’s age was not revealed, however, he or she is under 18.

Higueros, who is a paid volunteer firefighter with the Cayucos Fire Department, was booked into the county jail on three counts of rape by force or fear.

The investigation is active and on-going.
