Plenty of New Faces For Carp Football

They may be new to varsity but they have played football with each other for several seasons.

Carpinteria High School is loaded with juniors and many of them are first-year varsity players. However many of them were on junior varsity last year like quarterback Jimmy Graves and the Warriors were 8-2. Graves says he has been playing with his current teammates since they were in middle school together.

Graves is sharing quarterback duties leading up to the season with fellow junior Rayshaun Moore. But for Moore this will be his first time playing organized football since he was a kid.

Carpinteria expects some growing pains along the way but they feel they have enough talent to have a successful 2014 season. They open the year at Santa Ynez on September 5.
