Parents Get A Lesson In Math

Santa Barbara Unified School District hosted a math night for parents, just days before the start of the new school year.

Math teachers were on hand to explain the new Common Core objectives.

Parents had a chance to look at textbooks and were given a road map to support their students according to their grade.

Teachers said students will be learning how math relates to real-world problems.

They invited parents to reach out to teachers whenever they have questions.
