Ferguson Fallout Leads To Peaceful Local Protest
About 75 people of all ages and backgrounds turned out for a vigil and march along State Street in Santa Barbara on Thursday night.
Participants said they wanted to do something to share their concerns about the shooting of a teen in Ferguson, Missouri.
One participant held a sign with the words “Am I Next.” Another sign read, “Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.”
The vigil began near the Santa Barbara Museum of Modern Art.
The march took place on both sides of State Street.
Members of the Coalition for Justice and Operation Help or Hush said they spread the word about the vigil through social media.
