Morning Meteorologist Adds Musical Touch to ALS Challenge

The Ice Bucket Challenge has taken over social media by storm.

It’s all for a good cause–raising awareness for Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Our “This Morning” anchors Shirin Rajaee and Joe Buttitta took the icy plunge, and this weekend, Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo was added to the list.

But instead of just dumping the bucket, Garofalo decided to combine her passion for singing with raising money for charity.

“I was driving home thinking how to do the challenge when Def Leppard’s song ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ came on the radio,” Garofalo said. “So I decided to take one shot, ad lib to the song and add a little extra entertainment to the challenge. It’s all about raising money and awareness for ALS.”
