Alleged Sex Offender Wanted in Utah Arrested in Lompoc

A man wanted in Utah for allegedly sexually abusing a child is in custody in Santa Barbara County.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 52-year-old Jose Luis Coronado at his work in Lompoc.

Coronado lived in Santa Barbara and Lompoc after fleeing Utah in 2012.

He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, and is expected to be transferred back to Utah.

Authorities are concerned Coronado may have committed similar crimes in Santa Barbara County.
