Police Investigating Containers of Diesel Left on Side of Road

Santa Barbara Police and fire crews are investigating large containers of diesel fuel that were left by the side of the road early Thursday morning.

The three, five gallon containers triggered a hazmat situation on the Carillo on ramp to the 101 North freeway.

One of the containers did not have a lid, and the other two were labeled “kerosene.”

It is unknown why the containers were left on the side of the road. CalTrans safely removed the containers.
