Water Main Break Triggers Complete Water Outage At Vandenberg AFB

A water main break at Vandenberg Air Force Base has completely cut off water to base residents and closed several daily services.

The main ruptured Tuesday night and base personnel say the problem is being handled. But until the line is fixed water restrictions will be in place.

Residents with water are being asked to boil tap water or use bottled water until further notice.

Water conservation rules are in effect. There will be limited medical services at the Medical Clinic for acute care only. Only one dining facility is serving food on base and will be limited to meal card holders and mission essential personnel only. The CDC and Youth Center will be closed Wednesday.

Vandenberg says additional updates will be provided as the situation unfolds.
