MMJ-Producer – KEYT-Santa Barbara
KEYT 3, AND KKFX 11 are seeking a multi-media journalist/producer to join our team. This position is based in our Santa Barbara newsroom.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how he or she can shoot, write, edit, and present compelling content for on-air and on-line channels. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate newscast producing using all techniques available to create a compelling on-air product.
We’re looking for someone who approaches each story or newscast with the passion needed for exceptional storytelling, for making sure the viewer gets the best possible information, and of course to be the best product on air or online. You will work with brand new state-of-the-art HD newsgathering equipment and the latest generation of 4G wireless live technology. The coverage area is large and the competition is significant. You will produce newscasts on a regular basis. This is not a position for the weak at heart! A minimum of one year experience after college graduation in a commercial television newsroom is required.
