Fiesta Day Two Celebrates Variety

Dancers made the rounds on the second day of Fiesta in Santa Barbara.

A Celebration de Los Dignatarios took place at the Santa Barbara Zoo.

People tasted dishes from a variety of restaurants.

They also hit the dance floor after watching the Spirit of Fiesta perform.

The event was for VIPs and guests.

A free event took place across town during the first night of Las Noches de Rhonda at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens.

The variety show started at 8 p.m.and went late into the night.

Spectators sat on the lawn with picnicis and watched everything from ballet to folklorico and flamenco. The music was part traditional, part pop. In some cases the dancer’s heels made the music.

Visitors from out of town said they never expected so much wondeful entertainment.

A Santa Barbara man videoed the whole thing as a keepsake. He called the show a wonderful time for the community to come together.
