Central Coast’s Weekend Picks
Check out some of the events happening up and down the Central Coast this weekend.
MOVIE IN THE GARDENS | ATASCADERO | SATURDAY| FREE | 8PM
The city of Atascadero’s Movies in the Gardens will be showing “The Lego Movie” Saturday.
This event kicks off their 2014 movie series at the Sunken Gardens and will be showing a movie every Saturday evening through August 23 rd .
All movies will be family friendly, rated G or PG, and they are free for the entire family.
Show time is at 8pm.
MCDONALD’S BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT | SANTA MARIA | ARROYO GRANDE | SB | FREE
McDonalds of Central Coast will be hosting its annual Back to School Fair and Backpack Giveaway event at three of its restaurants Saturday.
Starting at 8 a.m., the McDonalds in Arroyo Grande, Santa Maria, and Santa Barbara will be handing out free backpacks and helping families and kids get ready for the next school year.
This event will be a one-stop shop for kids’ back-to-school needs, and local community partners will also be there to help get kids ready for the fall.
ART IN THE PARK DINOSAUR CAVES | SHELL BEACH | 10AM-4PM
This Sunday is the Art in the Park at the Dinosaur Caves in Shell Beach.
This event takes place on the first Sunday every month going from May to November.
Festivities start at 10 a.m. and goes through four in the afternoon.
Over one hundred local artist and craftsmen will display their jewelry, wood crafts, and metal work.
There will be live music, kid’s activities, BBQ and fun for the entire family.
