Vin Scully Coming Back For 66th Season With Dodgers
It’s official! Vin Scully will be back in the broadcast booth calling Dodger games for a 66th season in 2015.
The legendary play-by-play voice made the announcement during Tuesday’s game at Dodger Stadium.
“God willing, I will be back next year,” he said in a statement released by the team. “Naturally, there will come a time when I have to say goodbye, but I’ve soul-searched and this is not the time.”
Scully has been the voice of the Dodgers since 1950. He made the move to Los Angeles with the team and has been telling stories to countless generation ever since.
During his time with the Dodgers there have been 10 U.S. Presidents, 14 new MLB teams and 54 new stadiums have opened. Scully is also a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement Emmy Award recipient and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
