Witnesses Help Ventura Police Make Arrest Following Stabbing

Ventura Police arrested a stabbing suspect Monday night thanks to help from witnesses.

Officers say 32-year-old Joseph McCabe stabbed 29-year-old Bradley Clymer on the promenade near Crown Plaza around 9 p.m. Both men are described as homeless.

A witness to the crime alerted police and when officer arrived they say they found Clymer with a stab wound. Clymer was transported to Ventura County Medical Center and rushed into surgery.

Officers located McCabe nearby and police say he had Clymer’s blood on his body. McCabe was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail. The weapon involved in this stabbing has not been located.

The Ventura Police Department investigation is ongoing and anyone with information related to this crime is urged to call police at 805-339-4409.
