Time is running out — an exhibit at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum is documenting the 90-year history of Old Spanish Day’s Fiesta.
From the posters, banners and historical clothing, Project Fiesta shows the colorful and vibrant past of Santa Barbara premiere event. This is the first time many of the pieces of Fiesta past have come out of the archives.
“Some things haven’t been seen in years,” museum curator Daniel Calderon said. “We’ve got images that were developed from original negatives, we’ve got the original 1924 poster on display and the 1924 banner. It’s just an incredible collection of historic fiesta pieces.”
The exhibit runs through the end of September.
