Max’s Restaurant Celebrates 30 Years in Santa Barbara with a Week of Deals

Max’s restaurant and cucina has served up heaping portions of local food and service for 30 years in Santa Barbara and this week customers are getting even more during a special celebration.

“I find support in all my customers. I have a lot of support and I don’t feel like I am alone in this. We’ve been here for 30 years and through the hardest part they keep supporting us here,” said owner Henrietta Forystek. She began as an assistant manager in 1985, and with the help of on the job training along with business classes at Santa Barbara City College, she found herself in position to buy the restaurant in 2002.

This week, the restaurant is offering a rotation of deals that give customers a taste of prices from the 1980’s when the doors first opened.

Thursday, omelettes will be $5.99.

Max’s specializes in hearty home made classic menu items for breakfast and lunch.

At night it has added a new twist with an Italian menu.

Friday night is a special multi-course special anniversary Italian dining event.

Sunday evening at 5 p.m. public open house for new and longtime customers.
