New Artist Village in Planning Stages for Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone
A developer is trying to expand Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone by adding a new artist village.
It would be at Gray Avenue and Yanonali street.
The project needs city approval, but if everything goes as planned, Mesa Lane Partners says it could open in October.
The project would feature 24 storage containers for the artists at first, but the developer says the goal is to build a three or four story mixed use building at the site.
