Oceano Couple Speaks Out About Car Crashing Into Their Home
“‘Alvin are you going to check your blood? Because he likes to check it at 9 o’clock,” are the words Pat Cuelho said to her husband moments before a SUV drove into their home.
The crash happened around 9:30 Monday night.
California Highway Patrol said the driver, 29 year-old Dominique Hindman, was under the influence of alcohol.
Pat Cuelho is thankful to be alive but not happy that “all the work we put into this place and it takes a drunk to take it away.”
The American Red Cross in San Luis Obispo is providing the Cuelhos with temporary housing until they are able to move back into their home.
Hindaman was taken to Sierra Vista Hospital where she was arrested and released to go home with a family member under the condition that she appear in court.
