Wet Roads Lead To Accidents

The first major storm of the year was followed by accidents on highways and surface streets.

The worst accident was a head-on collision that led to a two-and-a-half hour closure of Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek.

Other accidents followed on Highway 101 in Gaviota, and Santa Barbara.

Another accident involved several cars on Cliff Drive.

California Highway Patrol officers urged drivers to slow down, and make sure their tires and windshield wipers are in working order.

Forecasters are calling for more rain toward the end of the week and first responders expect more accidents.
