Surf Beach Closed After Possible Shark Sighting

Surf Beach near Vandenberg Air Force Base has been closed due to a reported shark sighting on Wednesday.

According to Vandenberg Air Force Base, accessto the beach through Ocean Park will be closed until noon Thursday. It is not known what type of shark was allegedly spotted.

The beach has been home to two deadly shark attacks, the most recent one in October 2012 that killed Orcutt surfer Francisco Solorio Junior.
