Winter WonderSLO Ice Skating Rink Opens For Holidays
People are lacing up their skates in San Luis Obispo to hit up the only ice skating rink in the area.
The Winter WonderSLO ice skating rink had its grand opening today at the Madonna Inn Expo Center. The 4500 square foot rink came to the Madonna Inn for the first time last year for the holidays. About 23,000 skaters tore up the ice last year. This year they’re expecting even more, about 25,000.
“It’s really fun, it’s a different experience than we usually get around here, so its really a fun thing to do,” says skater Jenifer Rabenaldt.
Some of the ticket money will go to a local non-profit. The Madonna Inn plans to donate to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County.
