Moorpark High Locked Down After Threat

A Ventura County high school was placed under lockdown as authorities investigated a threatening note found on campus around 8 a.m.

All of the students were evacuated from the campus. School Administration canceled classes for the remainder of the day.

At least 70 deputies and three K-9 units conducted a precautionary sweep of the campus.

A short time later they found a 16-year-old body, believed to have written the note, dead on nearby railroad tracks. It appears he had stepped onto the tracks in front of an oncoming passenger train.
