Gauchos Spread Holiday Cheer to Local Kids

The Gauchos put on a full-court press at Kmart all to benefit local kids whose families need some financial help especially during the holiday season.

Keeping with a tradition that began over five years ago, the UCSB men’s basketball players handed out $100 gift cards to be used at the Kmart in Goleta. The cards are a gift from an anonymous donor.

Each player shops with one child at a time and they go around picking out a few gifts for themselves as well as for their families.

It is hard to tell who enjoys it more, the kids or the players.
