Two People, One Dog Stabbed On Haley Street

Santa Barbara police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a 52-year-old man, a 48-year-old woman and a dog with knife wounds.

It happened Saturday, on the 700 block of Haley Street.

The couple, both from Santa Barbara, turned up at Cottage Hospital’s emergency room. They left their wounded dog in the hospital’s parking lot.

Police investigators say it appears the man and woman were minding their own business when they were attacked and stabbed. The attack does not appear to be gang related.

Police are not releasing more information but say all of the victims are expected to recover, including the dog, which is being treated at the CARE Animal Hospital.

So far, officers have not made an arrest.
