Teen Star workshop Saturday at SBCC

You can now enter to be the next Teen Star. The solo singing competition is holding a workshop Saturday. This is an opportunity where 7th to 12th graders enrolled in a Santa Barbara County School get advice and tips from industry professionals.

Teen students will get tips on vocal, performance, and recording techniques. They’ll even be able to talk with a Hollywood casting director and get professional head shots, all for free.

The annual Teen Star competition will be held February 8th at the Granada Theater.
The workshop is being held at Santa Barbara City College from 10-12pm.

Teen Star’s mission is to provide support for local school Performing Arts programs in Santa Barbara County and an outlet for teens to flourish and showcase their talents in a healthy environment.

This year’s winner will receive the following:
• $1,000 scholarship
• Recording in world-class studio
• Radio and TV appearances
• Opening performances at major local events
• Prestigious title of 2014 Teen Star Santa Barbara
