Man Arrested For Two Robberies in Eastside Area

A man is behind bars accused of robbing the Rabobank on Santa Barbara’s lower eastside.

Santa Barbara police said Joseph Brown walked into the bank located at 914 Carpinteria Street at about 10:00 a.m. Friday and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Officials said the teller gave Brown an unknown amount of cash.

Brown then left the scene. Police later found him at Cacique and Voluntario streets where he was taken into custody.

Most of the money was found. Brown is charged with two counts of robbery and for robbing a gas station on Milpas Street earlier this month.
