Pet Care in Cold Weather and During the Holidays Prevents Problems
Some of your domestic pets will need extra attention when the temperatures dip into the subfreezing zone.
Many new products including sweaters, and extra thick bedding have become popular with consumers in recent years.
One Solvang family, Cherie and Richard Adams had their two dogs out for some fresh air at Hendry’s Beach in Santa Barbara saying their animals are not left out in the cold when the temperatures fall below freezing.
“And they have furry beds for the floor, but they never sleep on the floor. So they are either in a couch, chair or bed with us,” said Adams.
Veterinarians also advise you to keep your pets away from your Christmas tree, poinsettias, and holiday candy.
