Santa Barbara Zoo Gets Three New Donated SUVs

The Santa Barbara Zoo has three new SUVs that fit right in with the animals they will help conserve.

Gold Coast Toyota Dealers Association donated the custom wrapped 4-Runners.

The vehicles will be used by the field conservation team to help rescue condors, study the Channel Island Fox and research red legged frogs.

“This is exactly what we needed. Something of this capability to get people into the back country to do survey work for the California Condor, to do the work that we’re doing for the amphibians of special concern. So this is an enormous boost to our program,” said Rich Block, the zoo chief executive officer.

The donation totals more than $100,000.
