Brush Fire Contained Near Oil Field

Just after 10:00 a.m. Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a possible oil well on fire in Lompoc.

Emergency crews contained the small brush fire with in fifteen minutes on the 3600 block of Harris Grade Road.

Crews did not find an oil well on fire but there was a broken power line down in the area. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The burn area was contained to half an acre. Lompoc City Fire also sent an engine crew to the scene.
