24th Annual Toy Run Helps Unity Shoppe

The 24th annual Toy Run brought hundreds of gifts to needy children Sunday.

The riders left Carpinteria and took a route through Montecito, Santa Barbara, and ended up in Goleta for an event at the Elks Club.

About 400 riders were involved.

The California Highway Patrol and Santa Barbara Police department escorted the riders through intersections safely. Many people lined the route to wave to the riders when they heard the engines growling their way through the streets.

Many of the motorcycles had decorations, and toys attached.
