Two Teens Arrested for Santa Barbara Home Invasion

Two 19-year-olds, one from Carpinteria and one from Santa Barbara were arrested for multiple felony charges linked to a suspected home invasion attack.

It happened in late November on the Santa Barbara Mesa, but the arrests were just announced after an investigation.

Police say Tobias Minehan and Ryan Larson were part of an attack that involved a replica sub-machine gun and a violent beating.

Investigators say it was linked to a conflict involving a former girlfriend. One person suffered multiple injuries in the assault. Police say the victims were slow in reporting the attack for fear of retaliation.

Larsen was arrested in his classroom at Santa Barbara City College. Minehan was contacted at Cal Poly where he attends school and turned himself in.
