Oceano Standoff Ends with Arrest
An intense standoff in Oceano has come to an end.
San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies were called out around 7 p.m. Thursday to the Pismo Sands RV park to reports of shots being fired. When deputies arrived, an armed man barricaded himself inside his RV.
A portion of the park was evacuated during the standoff.
Dennis Ray Barnes Jr., 43, surrendered without incident just after 9:30 p.m.
No one was injured during the incident.
