Cal Poly’s Holiday Poinsettia Sale

Cal Poly’s annual poinsettia sale is happening at the Poly Plant Shop, a greenhouse on campus.

Students in the university’s Poinsettia Agriculture Enterprise Project grew more than 2,800 of the holiday plants this year, with more than 30 different varieties and colors.

Customers will find traditional red and white flowers, as well as many novelty colors including pink, orange, marble, maroon and speckled. Some have unusual leaf forms.

Sizes vary from small, four inch pots to four foot tall poinsettias. Prices range from five dollars to $55 dollars.

The Poly Plant Shop is open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

To get to the shop, take the Highland Drive entrance to Cal Poly and turn left onto Via Carta Rd. The shop is at the top of hill on the right. For more information, call the Poly Plant Shop at 756-1106.
