Freeway Jumper Creates Early-Morning Traffic Nightmare
Traffic came to a halt on the US-101 North at California Street Tuesday morning.
The California Highway Patrol says a 23-year-old man jumped off the overcrossing and was hit several times by northbound vehicles. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the early morning collision, traffic was diverted off the freeway at California Street and reopened at 6:50 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
