Deckers Outdoor Opens NASDAQ Stock Market

Leaders from the Goleta based company Deckers Outdoor Corporation were in New York Tuesday.

They visited Times Square to ring the opening bell for the NASDAQ stock market. Deckers President Angel Martinez was there to ring the bell.

According to the website Nasdaq.com, Deckers is celebrating their 40 th anniversary of the company.

The company is also celebrating the 35 th anniversary of its UGG brand and the 30 th anniversary of its Teva brand.

Deckers Outdoor Corporation is a footwear manufacturer based in Goleta founded in 1973 by UC Santa Barbara student Doug Otto.
