Freedom Warming Centers Open for Holiday
The Freedom Warming Centers will be activating three warming centers this Thanksgiving due to predictions of rain and a drop in temperature.
Centers will be open in various parts of Santa Barbara County on Nov. 28 and 29. This is the first time this winter that centers have been opened.
The locations are:
Santa Barbara – First Presbyterian Church (New start time 6:30pm)
21 East Constance, Santa Barbara (corner of State)
6:00-7:00 – Shuttle Service from the Unitarian Society
Isla Vista – St. Michaels University Religious Center (Start time 10:00pm)
6585 Picasso Road, Isla Vista
Santa Maria – Newlove Community Center
1619 Thornburg Street, Santa Maria
