Santa Barbara Christmas Tree Put in Place on State Street

The Santa Barbara Downtown organization welcomed the annual community holiday tree to it’s place on State Street Tuesday.

Just in time for the holiday season, the 45-foot Douglas Fir tree was donated by Southern California Edison and supported by Marborg Industries. Santa Barbara Public Works and Parks Department installed the tree at the intersection of Victoria and State Streets.

The official lighting of the tree will take place on Dec 6th at 6:30 p.m. at the beginning of the 61st Annual Downtown Holiday Parade. The Grand Marshal is Michael Imperioli from “The Sopranos” and he will preside over the Holiday Parade.

This is the final year that Edison will be providing the tree for Santa Barbara.
